CSTA Iowa Bylaw Amendment Vote 🗳

CSTA Iowa has made changes to our bylaws to include language necessary for us to be included in CSTA's national non-profit group exemption status. This change will allow us to open a 💰 bank account and 💵 receive grant funds for future professional development opportunities for our members!

You can view our bylaws, with amendments here.

We need your help! Each member is asked to either approve or not approve our amendments by voting here no later than March 12th.

Iowa CS Requirements & timelines & supports, oh my!

Did you know that there are CS requirements for districts in 2022 & 2023? The Future Ready Iowa Act (House File 2629) was signed into law in June 2020 and includes requirements and timelines for computer science planning and instruction in two phases. Iowa's AEAs are planning supports to help you and your district meet both the requirements and timelines.

You can get FREE CS Teaching Resources!

You can get FREE CS teaching resources by applying for one of the 2021-22 STEM Scale-up Program. The Governor's STEM Advisory Council has announced the12 STEM programs included in their 2021-22 Scale-up program which includes 4 programs that address Pre-K-12 computer science.

CSTA 2021 Virtual Conference Scholarships

Want to learn and network with CS teachers from across the world? Not sure how you can afford the registration fee? No fear! 2021 CSTA Conference scholarship funding is available.

HS CS Teachers - Impacts of the Pandemic on CS Education Survey

High School CS Educators are invited to complete a survey about the impacts of the pandemic on CS Education. Teachers who complete the survey will be eligible to enter a drawing for one of two $75 gift cards
